Please register at robes.eventbrite.com.au so that we can reserve a Kathina robe cloth (prepared by the monastery) for you to offer (1 per person). This can be obtained from the Robe Cloth Desk before the ceremony starts at 12pm. The robe cloth will be offered during the Kathina Ceremony after 12pm.

Traditionally, the Kathina season occurs during the one month period after the end of the monastic vassa (3 months-rains-retreat). The Kathina robe offering may only be made once in the monastery during this period. This Kathina offering has been a tradition held since the time of the Buddha, and is a way that the laity show their support for the 5 or more monks who completed the vassa in that monastery.

• All donations for the event will go towards the building of Bodhisaddha Hall
